This month I’m going to choose a self-care practice that I personally have been actively working on. It’s something that most of my friends think is strange and not everyone fully understands. It takes less than 60 seconds to complete and the more I do it, the better I feel. It has to do with my tongue….

This month’s self-care tip is…. tongue scraping!

What is tongue scraping?

It’s an Ayurvedic self-care practice that removes bacteria, old food particles, toxins, and dead cells from the tongue.

Our mouth is where our digestion begins and so much of our health resides. Treat it well and reap the benefits.

What are the benefits?

  • Decreases cravings

  • Enhances the flavors of food

  • Improves breath (got halitosis, give scraping a try!)

  • Strengthens immune function

  • Improves dental and digestive health
